The Department of English formed the English Literacy cell on 6th March 2005 to promote literacy and social awareness among the students. The cell
is an attempt to bring out the neglected and hidden talents of the students and help them to come forward. From 2005 onwards we have regularly organized quiz
competitions, group discussions, seminars and speech competitions for the students. Such efforts are not kept within the department only, we have also involved
students from other department as well. Our students won the inter college quiz competitions for three consecutive years since 2008. Every year in the youth
festival, Bihar Diwas Competition organized by L.N Mithila University, our students won prizes in debate, elocution, quiz shows and poetry recitals. To develop
leadership qualities among the students, we always encourage them to share the dais with the teachers in the seminars held on various occasions. Regularly we
